I need music... any suggestions?

i have been trying to find new music, i listen to a lot on my ipod during the day as i drive all day for my job... and my playlist has gotten redundant...

i picked up pablo honey - radiohead recently so thats been playing in my cd player.

im into:
rock
hard rock
oldies
classical
techno
nu age classical (nobuo uematsu, hans zimmer, danny elfman stuff :D!!! i lurve it ^^)
jazz
blues

im not into:
rap
country (except for a few exceptional songs (i.e. friends in low places, chris cagles - dont ask me no questions, big n rich's save a horse ride a cowboy... ya know... all those more oldies rock based country thats overplayed LOL))
pop
metal
industrial (to a certain extent, it has to make sense for me to like it, even really intelligent sense, but there is some thats just... what are you thinking?)

I love alternative rock, especially The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dandy Warhols, Franz Ferdinand and Beck. I also love Tori Amos and Ani DiFranco who fall under the category of "angry womyn who make generally good music." Coldplay and the Sneaker Pimps are also pretty fantastic...

I've been on such an '80s kick lately. I'm listening to the Men Without Hats' "Safety Dance" as well as "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" by Dead or Alive.

Have you seen cowboy bebop? Their sound track is, I think, AWESOME. Also if you like slightly weird/no vocals with a little electronica, please please check out Xploding Plastix. Oh, and Gogol Bordello are mental as well (think a troupe of Eastern European Folk singers on pep pills). If you want to try any of these slightly more.... alternative bands, i'd be happy to hook you up, but if not no offence taken! :)

haha im totally with you on the 80s thing. ive been listening to a lot of that too, anything from men at work, ah ha, and frankie goes to hollywood LOL im not very familiar with the first three you said (obviously ive heard of the white stripes, im just not familiar with most their music, gives me something to look up!! exciting!) sneaker pimps as well, ive heard people talk good things about them... them and the talking heads. i still need to check them out as well. thanks for the suggestions yosh!!
