Does anybody else have an issue with time?

How do you work around this and budget time for painting?



Still mostly dead, but partially alive. I am attempting to make a solid effort to budget painting time into my schedule. The two full time jobs thing doesn't help. Although, I have a magnificent idea for a picture, and I'm loving this commission thing because it's forcing me to paint and I LOVE it.



Anybody else who is having problems with time management, do you have any advice to give? I need it badly, because painting is what I want to do with my life. I want to be part of a studio that creates paintings for magazines and games and book covers. That has been my dream and it is constantly getting stronger. I will not give up on this dream.

My name is Abbey TerMeer. I am an aspiring digital artist currently working two jobs. I am working full time drafting floor plans for flooring installations, and also as a Graphic Designer for a growing new business.

My ultimate goal is working as a full time digital painter, doing commissions for individuals and companies. I have been drawing since an early age, but digital painting since 1999. I use a Wacom Intuos3 Tablet and Photoshop CS3 for the majority of my work.

personal note: I am not sure exactly what it is about this picture that blows me away. The piercing eyes maybe? The execution in detail, particularly with the outfit. The upwards angle as to give authority. The dynamic motion your eyes work as they follow the wings down and still sweep up to the face. The magnificent color combination. Or perhaps the exquisite shading. Regardless, I love this piece.

lol depends. usually a cookout of some sort. i bet theres an assload more to do in california O___o; you kind of get into a swing of things and stick to it. before it was pubs or clubs, movies, gameworks there for a while. we can check to see if theres any comedians at the funny bone. have you seen easton yet?

oh, what do you think of the weather? random enough for you yet? lol.

how's your show coming along? is the stage gonna be done by may?

I ask cause there's this bar down my street that has volleyball on Friday nights and I really wanna sign up for it :0 but that'd be a cool thing to do with you if you like volleyball! @_@ I don't wanna go alone cause since its a bar I don't wanna get hit on, we could be lesbians to ward off males.

Weather is amazing right now, but its CRAZY its like wind then shine then snow then pouring... and now... GIANT BEES ;_; I'm scared of bees. Please tell me you don't get mosquitos. I'm probably dreaming.

The stage is ALMOST done, it looks so amazing. Hopefully we will be ready for shows by mid May, we still have a looooot of animals to train.
